Karen Rostoker-Gruber’s first children’s book, "Foodfright," was published in October 2003 from Price Stern Sloan. Her second children’s book, "Rooster Can’t . . . ," was published in 2004 from Dial Books for Young Readers. Her third children's book, "Bandit," was published in 2008 from Marshall Cavendish and her sequel, "Bandit's Surprise," also published by Marshall Cavendsh, came out in 2010. In addition, Karen's first new board book, "Tea Time," is coming out in Fall 2010 and "Ferret Fun", a new picture book, will be released in Spring 2011.

She is also a published humorist. Her first humor book, "The Unofficial College Survival Guide," was published in 1992 by Great Quotations. Her second book, "Remote Controls Are Better Than Women Because. . . ," was published by Longstreet Press in 1993, and her third book, "Telephones Are Better Than Men Because. . . ," also published by Longstreet Press, came out in 1996. Her latest humor book, "If Men Had Babies. . .," was published by CCC Publications, LLC in 2001.

Karen is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, The Authors Guild, and Rutgers University Council on Children's Literature. She was a guest on the Ricki Lake Show and has been promoting her books on over 62 radio shows around the country.
